Well, "She Pinched Me First"

Case Assessment: Substantiated

Throughout Lauren's existence in the facilities where she's been housed, the question has been asked, "Just who's the handicapped individual here"?

Lauren has suffered Abuse, Neglect and Malpractice at the hands of three different 'care facilities', in three different cities in the state. In this case, an employee pinched Lauren because, well, Lauren "pinched her first". Lauren has no comprehension of cause and effect and pinches as a means of defense and sometimes, just because. It's largely avoidable and for those with their wits about them, it is not something that should be retaliated in kind.

The fight to get her out of her wheelchair was ongoing for literally years. Reading through some of her MUI's, it has become apparent that she was fighting back against the restraints being used on her and she was being abused at the same time. Her family never wanted her in the wheelchair and fought against it but now know through documentation that she was expressing her displeasure at the same time. It's just unforgivable what she has had to endure.
