"Yes, Hi, We Need to Let You Know That Lauren has a Bruise..

The calls all begin the same way, "First of all I want to let you know Lauren is OK but..." In this case, the caller said that Lauren had a bruise on her upper chest and shoulder area. It was only years later that the mention of 'BROKEN CLAVICLE' came to be known. The calls are frequently downplayed and in this case was 'we're going to have the doctor take a look at it'. What never happened was the follow up call of 'it has been determined that Lauren has a broken collarbone! That would have gotten some attention at the time.
